Graded's Partnership with Fundação Estudar

In the past two weeks, several Graded students took advantage of the opportunity to connect and learn more about joining this network of like-minded peers. The Fundação Estudar invests in talented Brazilian students who wish to study abroad and come back to make a difference in their country. The benefits of joining the foundation include partial scholarships to help subsidize post-secondary tuition, career orientation, and access to a network of scholarship recipients and partners, which includes well established people in all major industrial areas.

On August 9, recent graduate Mauricio Almeida came back to Graded and gave a presentation about the program and its opportunities. Mauricio is attending Michigan State University and he recently earned a scholarship.

This week, selected Graded students attended a  Fundação Estudar sponsored event where students listened to Andrew Hamilton, Oxford's Vice Chancellor speak. Mr. Hamilton stated, "We came to Brazil to strengthen our ties and encourage Brazilians to to to school in England." This event was part of the Ciclo Grandes Universidades.

These types of events provide our students with exposure to wonderful opportunities for their post-secondary careers.
